At Adventure Time Tenerife we look after your personal data the way we look after the sea: with respect. Here we explain clearly what data we process, why, for how long and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we process and why
Activity bookings
When you book an activity (kayak, paddle surf or rental) we process your full name, email, phone number, the date and time chosen, the number of participants and their rate (adult, child or resident). We use them to manage the booking, send you the confirmation and meeting point, and contact you if anything changes (for example, due to sea conditions).
- Legal basis: performance of the contract you enter into with us when booking (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Payments: made on the Turitop booking platform and its payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card details.
- Retention: for as long as the relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by law for accounting and tax records.
If you book for minors, you, as their parent or guardian, provide their details (for example, their age to apply the child rate).
Enquiries (form, email, phone or WhatsApp)
If you write to us or call us, we process the data you give us (name, email or phone and your message) to reply and, if you ask, to prepare your booking.
- Legal basis: your consent when contacting us and taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).
- Retention: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you then book, the booking terms above apply.
Activity photos and videos
If you purchase the optional photo and video service, we will process those images to deliver them to you. We will only use them on our website or social media with your express permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
Website statistics
With your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics to learn in aggregate how the website is used (pages visited, device, source) and improve it. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie policy.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
Partners and referred bookings
If you reach our website through a partner’s link, we record that source so we can attribute the booking to them.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing the partner programme (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), always respecting your choice in the cookie notice.
3. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with providers that deliver a necessary service and process it on our instructions:
- Turitop: booking and payment platform.
- HighLevel (LeadConnector): contact form, enquiry management and partner programme.
- Google: web analytics (Google Analytics) and the Google reviews shown on the website.
- Trustindex: displays public Google reviews on the website.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
- Web hosting and email: the providers that host the website and manage our email.
We may also disclose data to the authorities when required by law.
International transfers. Some of these providers (such as Google, Meta or HighLevel) may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. In those cases, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
4. Your rights
You can exercise your rights at any time:
- Access: find out what data of yours we process.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete it.
- Objection and restriction of processing.
- Portability: receive your data in a commonly used format.
- Withdraw your consent, without affecting processing carried out before you withdraw it.
To exercise them, email us at info@adventuretimetenerife.com stating which right you wish to exercise. If needed to verify your identity, we will ask you for some additional information. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
5. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
6. Cookies
We use technical cookies, needed for the website to work, and, only if you accept them, statistics cookies. You will find all the information, and can change your choice, in the cookie policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our services or the law change. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its update date.
